  • Microsoft announced the Xbox One S with 2TB of storage will be available for purchase August 2 for $399. The lower priced systems do not yet have a release date

Nintendo

  • Six new Pokémon have been revealed for the upcoming Sun and Moon games
  • Nintendo’s insane surge in market value has rocketed it past that of rival Sony—the makers of PlayStation

  • Analysts from intelligence firm Sensor Tower determined that Pokémon GO has been downloaded over 30 million times and earns The Pokémon Company roughly 1.5 million per day after Google and Apple get their 30% cuts. And that’s before the Japan launch that happened yesterday

  • Nintendo\’s annual report touts $4.4 billion in revenue with $290 million in profit

  • Ubisoft head Yves Guillemot has the following to say about Nintendo\’s upcoming NX. \”On the NX, what we have seen is really great. We think having a new machine coming is going to help the industry to continue to grow and to take a lot more casual players back to the industry.\” I\’m not sure how I feel about the casual player bit.

  • Star Fox Zero: The Battle Begins release on the Wii U eShop. Contains animated short along with Star Fox Zero demo

  • Legendary Pictures announced they won the rights to make a live action Pokémon movie based on the Detective Pikachu game out in Japan. It is expected to be fast tracked to release next year. Hopefully that accelerated timeline doesn\’t make it suck.

  • Capcom will be bringing Dead Rising to Xbox One, PS4 and PC. In addition, Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will make their way onto Xbox One and PS4.

  • A stupid \”hacking\” group calling themselves PoodleCorp are claiming responsibility for taking down Pokémon GO\’s servers Saturday with a DDoS attack

  • Some Pokémon may be continent specific

  • Report points to the Nintendo NX potentially monitoring your heart rate.

  • Batman: The Telltale Series episode one debut has been dated for August 2 with a new trailer you can check out here

  • Episode 1 of Life is Strange will be a free download indefinitely as of July 21. I hella loved the game so much and can\’t recommend it enough.
