Nintendo

  • Niantic removes legendary Pokémon from accounts of those who cheated

  • Niantic also updated Pokémon GO, removing the footprint feature in nearby and blocking useful third party services such as Pokévision. This hasn\’t gone over well with the community and the app now sits at a 1-1.5 star rating on the iOS App Store where it previously was at 4-4.5.

  • Viz is reprinting the Super Mario Adventures comic and will sell it for $14.99

  • The first gameplay trailer for Quake Champions was released. You can play the game for yourself when it enters beta in 2017.
  • An official gameplay trailer for Prey has been released. The game is expected to launch in 2017.

  • You can stream the soundtrack for No Man\’s Sky in it\’s entirety on their YouTube channel

  • I\’m sure you don\’t need anything to shake things up in Overwatch, but if you do a new seasonal event titled Summer Games was released in celebration of the Olympic Games. Daney has a nice write up if you\’re interested in learning more.

Rumors

  • The hottest NX rumor isn\’t about hardware, but software. According to reports Nintendo\’s newest system will see new Mario and Pokémon titles witting size months of the console launching.

  • Blizzard may be making a HD version of the original StarCraft with redone graphics and menus. The gameplay will remain the same as the 1998 release

  • XCOM 2 has been delayed about a month on consoles
