Nintendo

  • Super Mario Run briefly disappeared from the iOS App Store, no reason was given, but the App made a return less than a day later as an update to 3.0.3.

  • Mario, our favorite Plummer, is no longer that. The Japanese Nintendo site has been updated to this: “All around sporty, whether it’s tennis or baseball, soccer or car racing, he Mario does everything cool. As a matter of fact, he also seems to have worked as a plumber a long time ago…”

  • Resident Evil Revelations 1 and 2 will launch for Nintendo Switch on November 30th in Japan. A western release will likely occur around the same time, though it has yet to be confirmed.

  • Nintendo has revealed that some future retail Switch games will require you to own a microSD card in order to play, with NBA 2K18 being the first physical game that requires additional storage to be present.

  • Drastic Actions, a web and app developer, is the creator of the Miiverse Archive, project that’s intended to crawl each area of the Nintendo Miiverse website, including discussion boards, drawings, and other areas to archive them. From there, he wants to parse all of that data and redistribute it so that people can view it online, in perpetuity.

  • Lego Worlds released this week on Switch and received backlash over its rather dull home screen icon. It apparently caused a big enough uproar that developer TT Games changed the icon to the admittedly more pleasing one that’s now available.

  • All of the Pokémon GO Festivals in Europe were put on hold following Chicago’s disaster. Now, however, we have new dates for Europe which are the following:
    October 7, 2017

    • Fisketorvet—Copenhagen, Denmark
    • Centrum Černý Most—Prague, The Czech Republic
      October 14, 2017
    • Mall of Scandinavia—Stockholm, Sweden
    • Stadshart Amstelveen—Amstelveen, The Netherlands
  • Team17 have released patch one of two for Overcooked on Switch bringing the version to 1.0.1 and including improvements to framerate and overall performance as well as fixing other bugs.

Xbox

  • Xbox Live Indie Marketplace for xbox 360 will shut down on 9/9

He was admittedly bad at the game, even going as far as to point that out in his piece.
