Recap 2.17.17

PlayStation

  • Later this month, Rocket League will receive an update enabling 60fps support in all game modes, including split screen, on both PS4 and PS4 Pro. In addition, Pro will also receive 4k support.

  • StarBlood Arena is coming to PSVR April 11. If you haven’t heard of it, check out the trailer.

  • PlayStation Now is about to be PlayStation Not Anymore on a myriad of devices including PS3, PS Vita, PlayStation TV, all Samsung TV’s, all Sony Bluray Players, and Sony Bravia TV’s. This is a big blow, but Sony said they’re focusing their efforts on optimizing the service for PS4 and Windows. I can’t say I blame them, as the PS4 has surpassed 50M sales and Windows devices are everywhere.

  • Vicarious Visions announced the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy will be out on PS4 June 30. Can we all agree that’s a stupid name? Thanks.

Nintendo

  • Nintendo Switch supports Bluetooth headsets!!!!

  • PokĂ©mon GO received a new update which introduces new PokĂ©mon and mechanics such as berries, evolution items, and expanded outfit options for trainers.

  • The Zelda 30th Anniversary Soundtrack is now available for preorder on Amazon in both the limited edition and standard versions. Both ship out February 24.

  • One lucky (or unlucky?) user on NeoGaf received his Nintendo Switch preorder two weeks early! Too bad he has no games to play on it. WOMP WOMP! But hey, you can watch a video he uploaded showing the UI and menus.
