Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutants in Manhattan Screenshots Leak

Well these screens obtained by Pure Xbox officially made my hype skyrocket through the roof! The title Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mutants in Manhattan still has yet to be officially announced by publisher Activision despite a flurry of leakes. The first came way of an Austrailian rating for the game followed by a rating in Brazil. Eventually that lead to artwork for the Xbox Store leaking out via Twitter and now the screens we have today. Platinum Games is a fantastic developer for an IP like the Ninja Turtles with their recent release of Transformers: Devastation scoring a 77 currently on Metacritic and us giving it a 7.5/10. They’re also handing the stellar looking NieR Automatica  as well as Nintendo’s Star Fox Zero. Mutants in Manhattan adopts the same great cel shaded look as Devastation and looks like it will be an open world action title, judging from the achievementd list.

Teenage Mutant Turtles: Turtles in Time is unanimously seen as the best game in the series and was popular in arcades, eventually seeing a home console relase on both NES and SNES. I have the original TMNT game for Nintendo which is a pretty brutal game. One of my personal favorite releases is The Manhattan Project on NES. You can check out the full list of previously released games here. The most recent titles we got have been a mixed bag. Activision had a multi game deal that birthed_Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles_, Teenage Muntant Ninja Turtles Out of the Shadows, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3DS (a movie tie-in), and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Danger of the Ooze. We also got three mobile games, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Rooftop Run, TMNT: Brothers Unite, and recently TMNT – Portal Power—the latter of which is actually pretty decent for a mobile game. These all lead us to Platinum’s newest effort.

The hype is strong with this one.

With screens being a pretty big leak I’m interested to see if Activision or Platinum finally announce the game over the weekend or this week. I’ll update this post should I hear anything. Now fingers crossed that it delivers.
