Yesterday, Yakuza 6’s demo was made available on the PlayStation Store and, to the confusion of many, clocked in at over a whopping 30GB. There was a good reason for that: the download actually contained the full game, with only the opening stages made playable—or it was supposed to be anyway. The idea was that if you later decide to buy the full game, you’d be purchasing an unlock code and could hop in right away after purchase. Players who downloaded the demo, discovered they could keep playing the full game as it was unlocked for them. Sega quickly pulled the demo from stores with no indication of when it will be back.
