New look at Dead Rising 4 celebrates the series’ craziness.

Dead Rising 4 went to Comic Con, and it had a panel.

Moderated by Jeff Rubenstein, there were a bunch of people involved with the game at the panel to discuss the game\’s development and how today\’s pop culture is influencing development of the game and zombie culture as a whole. Among those in attendence were:
-Bryce Cochrane – Exec. Producer
-Geoff Coates – Art Director
– Greg Miller – Personality
– Frank West – World famous photographer turned zombie slayer/whistleblower (He\’s covered wars you know…)

The most interesting part for we unlucky many not in attendance, was the showing of a new behind the scenes clip focused on the game. It celebrates the 10th anniversary and what makes the upcoming title so exciting. Take a look!

Despite the absolute saturation of Zombie culture as a genre (thanks a lot Walking Dead), I\’ve always been a fan of the Dead Rising series. The first Dead Rising was a true show piece for the Xbox 360\’s raw power. It slaps other series zombie media in the face by being self-aware and silly. That\’s exactly what I love about dead rising. The ridiculous protagonist put in an exceptional circumstance. Even though the outlook is dire, somehow there is a large smear of comedy blended into the game\’s dark commentary. Sure, the follow ups weren\’t as original or inspired, but this video panders to my deepest feelings of love for the original and hypes me right the hell up for a return to Willamette with Frank. New Story, new zombies, new action. I\’m pumped! Among my highlights were:

The beautiful return to the Willamette Mall:

Yes. It\’s safe to say I\’m on board with Dead Rising 4.

Dead Rising 4 comes out December 6th, 2016. It will be released for both Xbox One and Windows 10 as part of Microsoft\’s new cross-buy initiative dubbed, \”Play Anywhere.\”

I'm unabashedly in love with Nintendo; ESPECIALLY Zelda! Spelunky is my jam. Burritos are life.
