PlayStation

  • Eurogamer confirmed with video proof the PS4 slim that was supposedly sold on auction earlier this week is indeed real. The video has since been taken down, but there was also another one that popped up as an unboxing video which yours truly has seen. We also have images of Sony\’s slim new console for you to see.

  • The PlayStation Blog revealed a price hike for PlayStation Plus which goes into effect September 22.

  • Sony announced an adapter to enable full wireless DualShock 4 support on PC and Mac including the all buttons, sticks, the touchpad, and light bar. It will retail in early September for $25 and will also support PlayStation now on PC which the company says is coming “soon”.

  • After a laughably long time, PlayStation Network now supports two-step verification. You can set it up by visiting this website or in your PS4’s menu located in Settings > PlayStation Network/Account Management > Account Information > Security > 2-Step Verification

  • The Witness is coming to Xbox One until September 13

Nintendo

  • You can now buy Super Mario 64 DS on your Wii U, although why you would want to is beyond me. It’s a great game, but one I’d personally rather play on my 3DS.

  • Blizzard\’s servers were DDoS\’d again not long after their August 2 attack. Stupid ass kids with nothing better to do.

  • Fans who preordered Deus Ex: Mankind Divided are pissed to learn that a majority of the DLC they received can only be used for one game save.

  • Adult Swim Games announced they signed on to publish ToeJam & Earl Back in the Groove which was successfully backed on Kickstarter last year. A teaser trailer was released.

  • Ubisoft announced on their website that the next two expansions for The Division have been put on hold as the team tries to strengthen the core gameplay experience and fix lingering issues

  • After grossing an impressive $347 million globally, Rovio announced a sequel to The Angry Birds Movie.

  • Bethesda released a new trailer for Fallout 4’s Nuka World expansion

  • 2K released a new trailer for Mafia III

  • DONTNOD, the developers of the fantastic episodic game Life is Strange, released a fifteen minute video showcasing gameplay from their next action-rpg game Vampyr.
