Superhot Looks Super Slick

I literally just found out this game exists five minutes ago but I want to play it. I want to play it so bad! Superhot is a first person shooter brought to you by the Polish developer of the same name. The game originally started as a project for 7DFPS (7 Day First Person Shooter) and quickly picked up steam on the internet. From there the group of friends opened up a Kickstarter campaign where they smashed through $100k in funding in less than 24 hours until they finally made a little over $250k to develop the game. Backers of the Kickstarter get to play a beta of the game today (jealous) before the final release on PC and Xbox One.

I was immediately drawn to the stylized graphics and slo-mo electric atmosphere. It reminds me of playing through a hollywood movie intro. I know what you’re thinking, FPS’s are a dime a dozen, but that’s where Superhot sets itself apart. You see in Superhot time only moves when you do. Yes you read that right. When you stop moving time freezes allowing you to reload, grab a weapon in the air, smash an enemy’s face in as he walks through a door, evade incoming bullets, and more. I’ve attached the newly released trailer for you to get an idea of what I mean. In my opinion Superhot looks like another shining example of indie devs churning things up in an industry that has grown stale. Especially in the shooter department.
