  • Nintendo has shared first details about a new update coming soon to Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp.
    What Are Fortune Cookies?
    They’re strange cookies that give you furniture or clothing items when you eat them! The rarity of the items you can get depends on how many ☆s they have.

    The Fortune Cookie Shop will open in Market Place after the next update. When you eat one of the cookies sold there, you will get a random item based on the type of cookie. You can even check which items are in each type of cookie—and their odds of appearing—before exchanging for a cookie! Cookies are obtainable via Bells or Leaf Tickets—but some can only be acquired by trading in Leaf Tickets.

  • As promised, Microsoft announced a slew of new Xbox and Xbox 360 backwards compatible titles that can run on Xbox One and Xbox One X.

  • Mixer has partnered with Lightstream Studio, the cloud-based livestreaming studio, to give Mixer creators more ways to enhance their streams. Mixer streamers will soon be able to add overlays, alerts and more, all while streaming with sub-second video latency. (Seriously—the low latency of Mixer boggles our minds!)

  • Today, Valve added new privacy options that let Steam users decide how they’re viewed by the community. One big side effect: people’s game libraries are now hidden by default, spelling the likely end of data-tracking monolith Steam Spy. Steam Spy is a service that sweeps publicly viewable Steam profiles to estimate game sales and a boatload of other statistics across the entire platform.

  • FTC makes ‘warranty void if removed’ stickers illegal for electronics priced at $15 and above. This means your warranty can’t be voided if you remove the sticker on devices like you Xbox One or PS4.

Word on the Street


  • Rumor has it that a Pokemon park will be added to Universal Studios Orlando. Following up on a report from Theme Park University blogger Josh Young, WFTV has also heard from “numerous sources inside Universal who say Pokemon is indeed coming to Universal Orlando.”
