Nintendo

  • Wii U received a firmware update and data miners have discovered new text which reads “The Miiverse service has ended. Miiverse and any software features that make use of Miiverse are now unavailable.”. Switch doesn’t support Miiverse, instead opting for the ability to share on popular social media platforms like Facebook and Twitter, so the impending removal of Miiverse shouldn’t come as a surprise.

  • The Nintendo Switch Online app has launched for iOS and Android and boy does it have restrictions! Expect to hear our thoughts all about Nintendo’s laughable smartphone app required for chat and it’s cumbersome chat solution in our next podcast episode Monday at 8am.

  • Pokémon GO players will have the ability to catch a legendary if they work together. As Trainers around the world go out and explore their neighborhoods in search of Pokémon and Raid Battles, they can keep an eye out for unique Legendary Eggs appearing at Gyms. If Trainers and their team are able to successfully defeat a Legendary Raid Boss, they’ll have the opportunity to catch a Legendary Pokémon of their own! While Legendary Pokémon will help them take on the toughest Raid Bosses and Gym Battles, they’re not willing to leave their Trainer’s side, so they can’t be left to defend Gyms.
